Turn overdue fines into food for the hungry February 1-27, 2021.
Donate canned or boxed foods to pay off your library fines Monday, February 1 through Saturday, February 27, 2021 during Spillman Public Library's Food for Fines February drive.
The library will deduct $1 from your overdue fines for every unopened, unexpired nonperishable food item donated. (For example: Three canned items equals $3 in waived overdue fees, smaller items may require multiples).
All food items donated will go to the Fondy Food Pantry for local use.
Don’t have any fines? You're still welcome to donate. Pay It Forward donations can be used to help other patrons who are struggling to pay their fines.
Donations will waive library fines only, not fees for lost or damaged items. There is a $20 maximum forgiveness of fines.
The library cannot accept rusty, dented or unlabeled cans, homemade items, non-commercial canned or packaged items, alcoholic beverages, drink mixes or soda, or opened or used items. Click here to see a list of needed items.
